David Salisbury Domed Orangery Blinds in Chelsea
David Salisbury and Grants Blinds worked together to create a fully shaded showroom that did not intrude on the orangery design when the blinds were not required. Situated within the popular Chelsea Gardener Garden Centre, just off King’s Road, the showroom was designed to demonstrate the quality of buildings produced as well as show how blinds could be installed as an integral part of the building.
Careful consideration was given to the cornice sizing, and the addition of pelmets to conceal the blinds when not closed. The roof layout included two smaller lanterns on each side and a large central dome as the room’s main feature. Motorised retractable French Pinoleum blinds were installed in all glazing locations for both the roof and window glazing.
French Pinoleum Blinds are very suited to traditional wooden structures and are effective in reducing solar heat gain and providing insulation. This type of blind stays looking good in a garden room environment for a long period of time.
